The present Monastery is about thirty-seven years old. Due to the increased and varieties of Puja held in the Monastery the space for the Buddhist followers and the Lamas is usually over crowded. The dom above the Monastery has been damaged by the April 25th Earthquake. The Monastery itself is in a need of renovation structurally. As such we desperately need a new multi-purpose, bigger and modern Monastery which is to be built in the near future. All the paper work, an architect design of the Monastery including the soil test has already been completed. To date three crore and fifty-eight lakh Rupees has been received so far from the individuals and some fifteen Gurung communities and more to follow. The overall budget for this mega project is estimated to be around ten crore rupees in today’s estimation.
